Privacy policy
Last updated
Block Feud is operated by Allen Ponce de Leon. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, play the game, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@playblockfeud.com.
Information we collect
- When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides your account identifier, email address, and basic profile information, which can include your name and profile picture. Supabase handles authentication and stores account and session information. We use this to sign you in and connect your Block Feud profile across devices.
- Your game profile includes your chosen player name, preset avatar, equipped theme, account identifier, and account creation and update times. You can also play as a guest.
- Friends features store friend codes, friendships, friend requests, challenges, and their status and timestamps. Ranked play stores ratings, placement progress, and leaderboard standings derived from match results.
- Online play sends gameplay information to our server, including room and match identifiers, moves, board state, scores, results, and connection or match-resume information. Completed matches may be kept as game history.
- Our services and hosting providers process technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device details, timestamps, and error logs to deliver and protect the service.
- If you email us or submit feedback, we receive the information you include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments.
Google sign-in is optional. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or contacts. Other players can see your chosen player name, preset avatar, and information relevant to a match, such as your theme and score. Eligible ranked profiles appear on leaderboards with their rating and standing. Friends can see shared head-to-head results and information needed to send requests and challenges. We do not display your Google email address to opponents. If you share a challenge link, anyone who opens it can see your player name and avatar, and the link expires after 15 minutes.
How we use information
We use information to run matches, restore sessions, sync account settings, show match results, respond to support requests, fix bugs, understand how the game is used, and prevent abuse. We also use it when necessary to meet legal obligations or handle disputes.
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Advertising features described below are planned and are not active in the current release. We do not use Google sign-in account data for advertising. Information received through Google APIs is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Local storage and analytics
The game stores settings and session information on your device so it can remember your player name and theme, keep you signed in, and reconnect you to a match. Clearing browser or app storage can remove guest settings and sign you out. It does not delete an online account.
We use PostHog for usage analytics and error reporting when analytics is configured. This can include device or installation identifiers, screens visited, game events, browser and device information, errors, and approximate location derived from an IP address. Analytics can apply to guest players as well as signed-in players.
When session replay is enabled, PostHog can record interactions with the game to help us investigate usability problems. The game is configured to mask text inputs and apply additional masking to replay content. Replay availability depends on the app version and configuration.
Purchases
Development and preview builds can offer simulated purchases through RevenueCat's Test Store. These tests do not charge money. Real-money purchases are not enabled in the current release.
When purchases are enabled in your build, RevenueCat receives your Block Feud account identifier and purchase information, such as the product, transaction history, and access status. We use this information to associate purchases with your account, confirm access to No More Ads!, and support purchase recovery. Our integration does not send your Google email address or player name to RevenueCat as customer attributes. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
When real purchases become available, the store or payment provider will handle payment details. Block Feud does not receive your full payment-card details. Deleting your game account does not automatically refund a purchase or delete records held by RevenueCat or a payment provider. Contact us for help with purchase-related personal information.
Advertising and privacy choices
We are preparing Google AdMob ads for iOS and Android and a separate web advertising integration. Creating ad units and consent messages does not activate ads in the game. No advertising SDK or web ad requests are enabled in the current release.
When introduced, advertising services may process IP addresses and approximate location, device and advertising identifiers where permitted, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Ad personalization will depend on applicable consent, privacy choices, and device settings. Learn how Google uses information from services that use its advertising tools at Google's partner information page.
Before enabling ads, we will provide the applicable consent and opt-out controls, including a privacy-options entry in the app so you can revisit your choices. These controls are not yet available. The planned controls include consent choices for the EEA, UK, and Switzerland and sale or sharing opt-out choices for applicable US states. You can already contact us at the address below to exercise your privacy rights. We will update this policy to reflect the providers and data practices actually enabled before advertising launches.
Who processes information
We use service providers to operate Block Feud. These include Google for sign-in, Supabase for authentication, Railway for game hosting and storage, Vercel and Expo for web hosting or app delivery, PostHog for analytics, and Cloudflare and our email provider for website infrastructure and support email. Providers receive the information needed for their services and may also process technical logs.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect players, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights. If the service changes ownership, relevant information may transfer with it, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
Providers may process information outside your country. We use reasonable security measures, including access controls and encrypted connections, but no online service can guarantee complete security.
Retention and account deletion
We keep your account information while your account is active. You can request deletion in the game's Account screen using Delete account, after finishing or leaving any active match. You can also contact us for help.
Account deletion removes your sign-in account and replaces your game profile with a deleted-player record. Stored match records are updated to remove your player name and account association. Scores and match results may remain so that other players' game history still works. A limited internal deletion record remains to prevent old sessions from restoring the deleted profile.
Deletion also removes your friendships and associated social records and removes your profile from ranked standings. Purchase records and analytics are handled separately as described in this policy.
Deleting a profile does not automatically erase every analytics event, support message, security log, or backup. We retain these only as needed for their purpose, service recovery, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion of other personal information. Data that has been anonymized may be retained.
Deleting your Block Feud account does not delete your Google account. You can also remove Block Feud's access through your Google account connections. Revoking Google access does not itself delete game records.
Your choices and rights
You can change your player name, avatar, and theme in the game, sign out, use guest play, or delete your account. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access or correct personal information, request a copy or deletion, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, and complain to a privacy authority. In the Philippines, you can contact the National Privacy Commission.
Send requests to hello@playblockfeud.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Please do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
Age requirement
Block Feud is for players aged 13 and older. Players who are minors where they live must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law.
